Exceptional Marine Vessel Services, Since 1990
The Thoma-Sea family of companies have been constructing and repairing quality vessels for the commercial marine sector for decades.
Beginning in early 1990: Thoma-Sea Boat Builders, Inc. started with a single shipyard located along the bank of the Intracoastal Waterway in Houma, Louisiana. There the Thomassie family began building projects for brown water towing and vessels for foreign fisheries.
Thoma-Sea continued to expand, building offshore tugs, escort tugs, and small platform supply vessels (PSVs). In January 2003, Thoma-Sea expanded by purchasing the then defunct Halter Shipyard in Lockport, Louisiana. The Lockport facilities allowed Thoma-Sea to build larger, more complex vessels, and Thoma-Sea soon became an industry leader.

Today, Thoma-Sea is a leading marine construction company in Louisiana, staffed by a team of experts.
When you’re looking for a Louisiana shipyard that can build and repair everything from tugboats to platform supply vessels. You can trust Thoma-Sea’s decades of experience.
